I was in China when the quake hit and left on the second day o mourning. The mourning included a “boycott” of entertainment. “Boycott” is an interesting word in this context. I didn’t see it as being voluntary. TV channels were blacked out. The Beijing Opera was closed. It was a government imposition of mourning.
