Just updated my review on the [tag]Chinesepod podcast[/tag]. It’s a great tool to [tag]learn Chinese[/tag] but the premium features need a lot more work before I am willing to pay for them.

We are busy preparing the next version of the site. Anything in particular you are looking for?

It’s good to hear a new version of the website is in the works.
Firstly I would suggest some refining of the user interface/navigation as I only just now noticed the fact that at each specific blog/podcast post I can get the dialogue script as well as some review excercises. (probably my eyes failing me but still, it happened) These dialogue scripts and review excercises are not bad at all but that said, I oversaw them many times I visited the site.
In the Learning Center there is no reference to that. So while I was adding one word at a time in the word bank I just now found out I can go the specific blog post, click transcript and then at the bottom add all the words of the lesson to the word bank. Why not have this option when you are in the word bank yourself – Like add words lesson 1 etc.
Make the navigation clearer, more intuitive.
The above would be my main suggestion at the moment.
More interactivity would be nice. The current excercises are a start as are the flash cards.
The flash cards though are at least here in Shanghai relatively slow to load and some audio included would be nice (I know, probably makes it slower). They are also pretty standard, nothing really innovative about it.
I do however have to adjust my opinion a bit. Considering the premium features I wasn’t aware of, some payment is justified. Especially for beginners. But get that interface clearer.
I am really interested to see what will be offered to intermediary students in the future.

If I understand your question correctly you like to know what Chinesepod stands for.
It’s a combination of Chinese & the acronym of Podcasting.
I don’t the Chinese counterpart for it. You can try ask the people of chinesepod, I am sure they will be able to help you out better.
