Vigilant Cigarette Vendor

Filed under: Shanghai Life — Shanghai @ 4:31 am

Just walked down to go to my neighbourhood cigarettte shop to get a fresh carton of Honghe. Run by a couple that actually genuinly smiles as part of their service I was out of luck today. A small crowd had gathered outside the shop, and the owner was holding probably a thief by his collar. (No pictures unfortunately as I’m in still in the stage that I think a mobile phone is for calling, should change that attitude soon I guess)

Crowd got bigger, police came, owner and thief got into police car and I had to find a different place to get my ciggies. No shortage of shops, but I prefer anytime my vigilant cigarette vendor over having to wake up a sales assistant. Oh well.
