I too am sick of those meetings and the quotes. Every day some new leader from some country somewhere comes to China and pays homage to the growth that is happening here and both sides pledge to increase their mutual cooperation going forward. Do these things mean anything at all, or are they just junkets?
It’s really hard for pandas to conceive, and the survival rate of baby pandas is extremely low. Pandas are also picky on food (only eat certain parts of the bamboo). So to preserve the species, you have to do insemination (making it pregnant). It’s sad but that’s the reality for many endangered species.

They’re not harming the panda, they’re trying to get it PREGNANT.

They are such beautiful creatures, it’s a shame that there’s so few of them.
